The FORECCAsT team

No project without a team! There are numerous people involved in FORECCAsT and their skills are varied and complementary.


Project coordination

This team is at the heart of FORECCAsT administrative and financial coordination. It also oversees the technical achievements to ensure that the work done is consistent with the funded project.

Juliane CASQUET (PNR HL)
Ecologist by training, she is the project coordinator since November 2017. She organizes the work of the team as a whole and ensures that the many actions of FORECCAsT are progressing the way they should.
She is also responsible for the relationships between FORECCAsT and the LIFE Program.

Xavier BEAUSSART (PNR HL)
Director of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park (PNR HL), he is responsible for the inter-beneficiaries relationships and will contribute to the writing of the After-Life plan.

Stéphanie GUIRAUD (PNR HL)
Secretary for the PNR HL since May 2017, she also works half of her time on the FORECCAsT project.
She assists the coordination in the administrative management of the personnel.
She also assists coordination for the logistics of steering committees, public communication (website and newsletter) and participates to the E2 and E4 actions.

Olivier PICARD (CNPF)
Research and Development director of the National Forest Ownership Centre (CNPF), he articulates the activities of this structure for the FORECCAsT project.

Task officers

Working full time for the LIFE projects they contribute to, they are at the heart of the technical actions and work daily for their completion.

Baptiste ALGAYER (PNR HL) - Pedology officer
Pedologist by training, he is the soil specialist. He manages the titanic project of creating a hundred soil pits in the territory. He also works on their analysis, as well as on the integration of the results into the application (C1 action).
From January 2019, he will switch to a training officer position, to perform the traning of the users of our mobile application (C5 action).

Raphaël BEC (CNPF) - LIFE FORECCAsT and LIFE FOREST CO2 officer
Forest engineer by training, he pilots the C2 ("Management adapted to climate change of existing forest stands") and C3 ("Forest renewals adapted to climate change") actions.
He also worked on implemeting a response protocol in case of acture climate crise (C4 action). Furthermore, he follows the programming of the mobile application (C1 action) and will manage its test and the training of its users (C5 action).

Maxime JOURDE (PNR HL) - Forest officer
Forest engineer by training, he is involved in the implementation of the mobile application (C1 action) through field data collection as well as his work on modelling, statistics and data GIS analyses.
He will also contribute to the test of the tool and to the training of its users (C5 action).

Simon PEYRIN (CNPF) - IBS officer
Mechanical engineer by training who later specialized in forest management, he is responsible for the development of the IBS used in the "FORECCAsT by BioClimSol" mobile application (C1 action).

Constance PROUTIERE (PNR HL) - Silviculture officer
Agricultural engineer specialized in forestry, she organizes, with the help of Raphaël Bec, the testing of management measures adapted to climate change of existing forest stands (C2 action) and the setting-up of long-term field tests of mixed forest plantations and arboretums (C3 action).
She also contributes to adapting the use of the tool (C1 action) in the specific context of forest Habitats of Community Interest.

Technical experts

In partnership with the structure to which they belong, part of their time is dedicated to FORECCAsT. They are a valuable technical support for FORECCAsT task officers.

Jacques BECQUEY (CNPF) - Forest plantation engineer
Based in the Institute for the Development of Forests (IDF), he contributes to the C2 and C3 actions of the project.

Philippe BERTRAND (CNPF) - Territorial engineer (Atlantic area)

Thomas BRUSTEN (CNPF) - Biodiversity and climate technician
Based in the IDF, he contributes to adapting the use of the tool (C1 action) in the specific context of Habitats forest habitats of Community interest.

Elise BUCHET (CNPF) - Engineer

Sabine GIRARD (CNPF) - Forest plantation engineer
Based in the IDF, she contributes to the C2 and C3 actions of the project.

Olivier GLEIZES (CNPF) - Energy engineer

Michèle LAGACHERIE (CNPF) - Territorial engineer (Mediterranean area)
Based in the Occitanie CRPF, she contributes to the C2 and C3 actions of the project.

Jean LEMAIRE (CNPF) - Topography and climate change engineer
Based in the IDF, he has been working on the BioClimSol method for years. He pilots the C1 action of FORECCAsT and contributes to the fieldwork, the modelisation and the mobile application implementation.

Simon MARTEL (CNPF) - Attenuation and Carbone sequestration engineer
Based in the IDF, he contributes to the monitoring of Carbone storage in our test sites (D1 action).

Pascal MATHIEU (CNPF) - Atlantic area technician
Based in the Occitanie CRPF and technician in the Tarn department, he contributes to the fieldwork for C1, C2 and C3 actions.

Magali MAVIEL (CNPF) - Forest plantation technician
Based in the Occitanie CRPF and technician in the Tarn department, she contributes to the fieldwork for C2 and C3 actions.

Jean-Michel d'ORAZIO (CNPF) - Mediterranean area technician
Based in the Occitanie CRPF and technician in the Hérault department, he contributes to the fieldwork for C2 and C3 actions.

Alexandre PETROFF (CNPF) - Forest plantation technician
Based in the Occitanie CRPF and technician in the Tarn department, he contributes to the fieldwork for C2 and C3 actions. He will also contribute to the test of the mobile application (C1 action).

Alain POSTY (CNPF) - Head of the IT and Digital Development Service of the CNPF
Based in the IDF, he contributes to the implementation of the mobile application (C1 action).

Emmanuel ROUYER (CNPF) - Territorial engineer (Atlantic area)

Idriss WACHILL (AFB) - Technician for the FORECCAsT tool test
Forest technician in the Tarn departmenet, he will contribute to the test of the mobile application (C1 action).

Support services

Accounting, graphism, communication... their transversal skills are key for the FORECCAsT project.

Géraldine ASENSIO (PNR HL) - Graphic design, multimedia and website officer
Graphist designer by training, she designed FORECCAsT logo and corporate image (E1 action). She also created its flyer and several other documents such as the posters for the conferences.

Denis AZAIS (PNR HL) - Cartography and GIS officer
He puts his skills in cartography and GIS to good use in the project, notably for the C1 action.

Eléonore KURZAWA (PNR HL) - Communication and press relations officer
She contributes to the animation of FORECCAsT social networks, writes down press releases and adivces the coordinator and the secretary about their communication actions.

Christine PARIS (PNR HL) - Assistant accountant
She is Viviane's assistant and updates daily the PNR HL financial report.

Viviane PATURAL (PNR HL) - Accountant
She is in charge of ordering, following and paying the PNR HL orders for the project. She also ensures that the financing is received and payed in time to each beneficiary.

Claire contributed to the communication actions from March to June 2017.

Sahra BENMIMOUN (PNR HL) - Secretary
Sahra was the project secretary in October 2016.

Elise BOURRU (PNR HL) - Project coordinator
Elise was the project coordinator from October 2016 to October 2017.

Sonia CABROL (PNR HL) - Secretary
Sonia was the project secretary from December 2016 to March 2017.
She also assisted Elise for the launch of the project, notably with communication actions.

Carole FONTAINE (PNR HL) - Silviculture officer
Forest engineer by training, she was the project Silviculture officer from March to September 2017.
Carole then left the project to become the PNR HL "Forest charter" officer.

Johann HOUSSET (PNR HL) - Forest officer then Silviculture officer
Doctor and engineer, he was the project Forest officer from February to September 2017, when he did most of the fieldword about tree health and started the building-up of models for the mobile application (C1 action)
From September 2017 to June 2018, he switched to the Silviculture officer position, to manage the implementation of tests of forest management following the departure of Carole.
He left the project in 2018 to become a project officer in a nearby forest consultancy office.

Claire LIBESSART (PNR HL) - Communication and press relations office
Claire contributed to the communication actions from October to December 2016.
