Within the 2018 International Days of Forests framework, FORECCAsT opened a photo competition about "Forests of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park territory". It aimed to gather the perception by locals and visitors of their forest through their favourite shot, accompanied with a few words about the way they perceive their forests. This competition was rather successful, with 164 entries, whose quality was very appreciated by the jury. From these entries, the jury awarded five prizes:
This corner of the forest is a place of memory and serenity. Time does not seem to have a hold over it.
Daybreak in the forests of Fontrieu. I have the chance to often start my work days in this environment that I particularly like.
This climate, which can be rough and difficult for men, produces however a forest with character and productivity where the many human activities, always present, leave their mark.
Forest vastness allow for revitalisation and shelter.
The forest, the framework of my life.
